All our products are grown lovingly by small and marginal farmers from across India without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. We partner with more than 30 farmer organisations across 11 states of India and procure 52 agri commodities from them. We follow the Non pesticide management (NPM) of agriculture protocols and practices during cultivation, aggregation, storage, processing, transport and packaging to ensure that our products remain free of contamination and pesticides at every level of the custody chain.
All our products are free of any kind of additives and are minimally processed so as to allow for retention of all the nutrients present in the particular agri commodity.
From every batch of products we procure, we draw random samples and send them to FSSAI (Food Standards and Safety Authority of India) accredited laboratories, where they are tested for residues as per the ‘Maximum Residue Limits of Insecticides’ (MRL) mentioned in the Jaivik Bharat Standards; the standards set by the FSSAI for Organic Foods. We only procure once the sample conforms to the MRLs of Insecticides in Organic Foods for residue parameters, wherever the limits are mentioned.
